Technology enabled loss prevention will shift the business model of insurers. Gone are the days where insurers were just waiting for a claim to happen. IoT sensors, phones, or wearables are collecting data 24/7 which allows us to define an individual’s norm. As a result, we can assess any deviation in real time and act accordingly.
A Hackathon, in general, combines the words hacking and marathon. In Cookhouse Lab’s Hackathon, participants will spend a short period of time ideating and prototyping a product. Teams will start from scratch and work through an entire product development cycle in just 24 hours. Cookhouse Lab Hackathon teams will consist of programmers, designers, developers, project/product managers and insurance experts.
By participating in Cookhouse Lab’s Hackathon, you’ll work with your organization to create an MVP (Minimal Viable Product) that will enable our industry to move from passive risk takers to active risk managers.
Each team will create and pitch an innovative use case to move from passive risk takers to active risk managers.
Participate in our Hackathon, experience 2 full days and help "Make insurance better". Register as an individual or as a team with up to 5 people.
